ASM is a proud member of the TSA Screening Partnership Program (SPP) and provides passenger and baggage screening at Key West International Airport, and Punta Gorda Airport, and eight Montana Airports through this program.
SPP was implemented in 2004 and is a voluntary program. Airports may apply for SPP status and employ private security companies to conduct passenger and baggage screening according to TSA standards. Regardless of whether an airport has private or federal employees conducting passenger and baggage screening operations, TSA maintains overall responsibility for transportation security. TSA Federal Security Directors oversee the contracted security screening operations to ensure compliance with all Federal security standards throughout the aviation network. |
